About Olcay Gulsen

From an early age Olcay Gulsen could be linked to two words: entrepreneurship and fashion.  Aged just 21, Olcay started her own HRM agency. By 2003, she had moved her business into importing fashion brands and distributing them throughout the Netherlands. With her own sense of style and a nose for business she managed to become a  successful distributor within a year.

While visiting New York Fashion Week in 2004, she decided she wanted more. Having her own brand had always been a dream and joining forces with fledgling American brand SuperTrash was the first step. Three months later, the first SuperTrash collection was launched with Olcay overseeing the European and Asian Markets.

Over the years Olcay’s business has gone from strength-to-strength. She managed to successfully expand the brand to 24 countries in a very short time, which resulted in her taking over the whole brand. At the beginning of 2009, she became the worldwide owner and creative director of SuperTrash.

With an eye for business opportunities and a heart for fashion, Olcay has grown SuperTrash into one of the biggest fashion brands in The Netherlands – a brand that is quickly working its way across the globe. Collections consisting of feminine dresses and sophisticated designs are a hit with women everywhere; from A-list celebrities in Hollywood to Tokyo socialites.

One of Olcay’s greatest achievements was taking on the American market and launching the SuperTrash office in New York. In the near future, Olcay is determined to expand the business into new markets – with a girls collection, a perfume and lingerie line being launched in 2012 - and is set to conquer the UK, the US and then... the rest of the world.
